John Martins State Park

Back in Colorado. I’ve been driving 10’000 miles in two months. sixteen thousand kilometers. Most of them pulling the monster fifth wheel. Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas.

Those are (mostly) wonderful and exhausting drives; I think we’ve learnt a lot. I’ve been reading full timers stating “don’t rush”, “take your time”. They’re right, but we don’t have the time! ¬†Want to be with BTR in France for the 20th year anniversary; want to be with Chris & Trey for their wedding in Dallas. Want to visit Jessica’s family. And to see everything on the way. We failed, of course, we’ve missed most of it. But we did all we could, and have seen a lot.

From a photographic point of view, that’s a lot of sunrises, sunsets, lakes and birds. Promised, the landscape will change rad very soon.
